Creato announces Grant from the American College of Healthcare Executives to develop new program on Emotional Intelligence

San Diego, California

Creato announced today that is has been awarded a grant from The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) to develop and deliver a 2-day intensive training program that will equip participants to understand and leverage the concept of “emotional intelligence.”

The design of this course, intended for senior health care leaders, is to focus on building skills in the 4 fundamentals of emotional intelligence, or “EQ”: Self-Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness, and Relationship Management. Participants will learn not only how to incorporate these skills into their leadership model for increased personal effectiveness as a leader, but to “push down” the training into their organizations as well. The program will also include an examination of how this model fits into management under the Affordable Care Act.

The faculty for the program will include John Delmatoff, Senior Associate Partner at Creato, and Mark Herzog, President & CEO at Holy Family Memorial, in Mantiwoc, WI. While Mr. Delmatoff will introduce the principles behind EQ and how to apply them, Mr. Herzog will share practical examples of how he has applied EQ in his organization, including a framework for how to operationalize performance improvement once teams have reached a degree of competence in EQ.

“Leading with Emotional Intelligence” is the current working name for the program, and it will be integrated with ACHE’s regional programs conducted across the U.S. and throughout the year. Creato will offer information on its website in regards to the schedule for the program, as well as a link to registration details.
